Stockade Works is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to furthering the potential of film, television, media, and tech in the Hudson Valley through workforce development programs for local residents. For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, the terms “Stockade Works,” “we,” “us,” or “our” refer to Stockade Works.

We provide various programs and services through (i) our website, www.stockadeworks.org, (ii) workforce development training programs for adults in film & television production, (iii) in-school programs which brings the training of our workshops for adults into the classrooms of Hudson Valley teens, (iv) Career Awareness Programs, and (v) mentorship and career services for program participants (collectively our “Services”). We also welcome you to support our mission by making a donation to Stockade Works (“Donations”) . This privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) outlines our information collection and use practices related to the following: (i) the Website, (ii) our Services, and (iii) any donations made to Stockade Works. This Privacy Policy governs our operations in the U.S. and does not cover information collected regarding our employees.

I. Collection of Personal Information

To enhance your experience and provide our Services effectively, we may collect, process, and store “personal information” about you. For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, “personal information” includes, but is not limited to, name, email address, mailing address, telephone number, profile information, and any other data that identifies, relates to, or is reasonably linked to an individual.

We do not collect identifying information unless voluntarily submitted. You have the choice not to provide personal information; however, this may limit access to certain Services or information.

Types of Information Collected:

a. From Participants in Our Programs: If you choose to participate in a Stockade Works program, we may collect personal information about you when you complete various applications. This may include your name, contact information (such as your email address, phone number and home/office address), government identifiers (such as a copy of your state identification or driver’s license card or Social Security number), birthdate, demographic information, income information, and education or work experience history. For in-person programs, we may also collect and store copies of vaccination cards from our participants to verify proof of vaccination.

d. From Our Mentors, Instructors, and Volunteers: When you apply to be a mentor, instructor, or volunteer with us, we may collect personal information about you, including your name, email address, mailing address, telephone number, your preferred method of contact, your age, gender pronouns, race or ethnicity, information about your volunteer interests, information about your educational and work background and skills, and additional information about your interests or which you may choose to provide. 

e. From Job Applicants: When you apply for a job with us, we may collect personal information about you that you submit to us in your resume and cover letter, including your name, email address, mailing address, telephone number, information about your career interests, information about your educational and work background and skills, and any additional information about your interests or which you may choose to provide.

c. From Donors: When you donate to us through our donation page either as an individual or on behalf of an institution, we may collect personal information about you, including your name, email address, mailing address, telephone number, donation amount, gift frequency, and payment information. We may also collect tribute information, comments, and other information if you choose to provide such information. We may collect this information through third-party vendors (such as payment processors like Stripe). As described further below, the provided information will be subject to these vendors’ privacy policies.

d. From Visitors to Our Website: As you navigate, use, or otherwise interact with our Website, we may use automatic data collection or tracking technologies to collect certain information about your equipment and browsing actions, including without limitation: (i) information about your computer or mobile device and Internet connection, including your IP address or other device address or ID, web browser and/or device type, hardware and software settings and configurations; (ii) details about your visit to the Website, including resources you use on the Website and other traffic data (i.e., the web pages or sites that you visit just before or just after visiting the Website, the pages you view on the Website, your actions on the Website, and the dates and times that you visit, access, or use the Website); and (iii) your location at the time of your visit (only to the city level). V. Children’s Information

In-school Services require the consent of school partners prior to collecting personal information of program participants. We follow school rules and guidelines applicable to collecting and using personal information. All other Services are intended for individuals 18 years of age and older and we do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18. Parents or guardians can contact us to remove any inadvertently collected information.
